How to Throw a BBQ Party in Singapore Without Leaving Your House

So you’d like to throw a BBQ party. But maybe you don’t want to leave your house and the thought of finding a suitable place tires you. Or it’s the monsoon season and it’s raining buckets outside, but you still want to have a party.

Whatever the reason, we’ll help you plan your BBQ party and bring the outdoors indoors.

Plan Ahead

Just like a normal BBQ, you want to prepare the marinade the night before. Then all you have to do is cut up your meat and soak it in your preferred spices inside a bowl. After that, transfer it into a Ziploc bag or just cover the bowl, then put it inside your fridge.

Regardless of your preference, the most important part is keeping the marinade overnight. Letting your meat soak in the spices will really help the flavours to seep inside. But if you’re really pressed for time, even a few hours will do the trick.

Ventilate

You’re not in the great outdoors anymore! Make sure your doors and windows are open to let the smoke out. Even if you have a kitchen exhaust fan, extra ventilation won’t hurt you. The last thing you want is to have a smoky house for your party.

Get Snacks And Side Dishes

While waiting for the food to be ready, have some snacks handy for your guests. Keep it simple and have dishes like nachos and dip, chips, garlic bread, or Singaporean snacks like curry puffs and satay.

And don’t leave out the vegetarians, if there are any. Be a considerate host and prepare something for them that isn’t fries or mashed potatoes.

Social Lubricants

What BBQ party would be complete without alcohol? You don’t even need a cooler for this if your fridge is big enough. Just stock up on beer, and we recommend having some Guinness stout for this. The dark, creamy drink goes really well with your BBQ’d food.

If you’d like to make things sophisticated, add some wine to the menu. And if you forget to stock up on it, you can just look for wine online in Singapore.

Shop Online

Since you’ll be indoors, why not have the food delivered to you too? It’s easy to shop online in Singapore. There are plenty of delivery service that will send you everything you need for the party.

With this, you’ll have the basics for holding an indoor BBQ party you and your guests will remember.
